Probably my favourite song of all time

River Of God (Live From Toronto) by Paul Oakley
(download)

Honestly, the thought of praising God for all eternity with a lot of
modern 'worship' music really makes me kind of not look forward to
heaven at all. For some reason (perhaps a lack of lyrical depth, or
musical originality? No, probably just a lack of sincerity...) a good
chunk of music from the 'praise and worship' genre just doesn't do it
for me at all.

This track is different. I've probably listened to it about 100 times
over the past 10 years, and it never gets tired. It's got soul, a
HEAVY beat and an incredible energy. Everytime I listen to it it makes
me dance and look like a fool. Seriously, I love this track. So, here
it is:

"River of God (Live from Toronto)" by Paul Oakley, off the album "When
Deep Calls to Deep".

Real worship?

I Love Your Ways by Chris Lizotte
(download)

On of the worst things about modern Christianity is the commercialization of just about everything, including worship music. "Prayer of Jabez" rulers (I'm not kidding!) I can handle, but treating the sacred worship of God almighty as a commercial venture is pretty blasphemous.

Fortunately, not all "worship musicians" are sell outs. Such is the case with this dude, Chris Lizotte (spelling?). The track below comes off an old album I have called EXP, and everytime I listen to this song, it inspires a humble attitude of worship in me. I hope it has the same effect on you!
