So pleasant it is to have money, heigh ho!

I drive through the streets, and I care not a damn; The people they stare, and they ask who I am; And if I should chance to run over a cad, I can pay for the damage if ever so bad. So pleasant it is to have money, heigh ho! So pleasant it is to have money.

Just watched 'The Quiet American' where a paraphrased snippet of this poem is quoted. I decided to look it up and found the whole thing on Google Answers. Click the link - it's a brilliantly cynical poem on the excesses of capitalism.

Mary Had a Little Lamb

There's an email going around titled 'The future of nursery rhymes'
with some pretty good parodies of classics.

Here are my favourite 3 'Mary had a little lamb' rip-offs:

Mary had a little lamb
Her father shot it dead.
Now it goes to school with her
Between two chunks of bread.

Mary had a little lamb
It ran into a pylon.
10,000 volts went up its @rse
And turned its wool to nylon.

Mary had a little lamb
Its fleece was white and wispy.
It then caught Foot and Mouth Disease
And now it's black and crispy.

By the way, if you happen to know where these come from, please let us
know in a comment so that I can give credit where it's due!
