Great Idea, TaiPower
In the top right corner of my bi-monthly bill from Taiwan Power Company 'TaiPower', I noticed this little CO2 section. Apparently, my daily living over the last 60 days has spewed 412kg of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, no doubt contributing to global warming in some small way.
Kudos to TaiPower for making consumers aware of their environmental impact, although I can't say I love the accompanying guilt that comes from thinking about that huge amount of carbon. To my credit, I have already replaced just about all my light bulbs with compact flouresent ones. Now it's time to switch off the air conditioner and get a fan going instead - something that's definitely going to be a challenge for me during these hot summer days.
